And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

A Day In The Life...

at our house. Today we...

 ate some breakfast.

Then took Livy to preschool. Precious class huh?!?! Since Livy's b-day was Saturday I made cupcakes. I had planned on taking them last Thursday, but because of the 5 inches of snow or so on the ground there was no school.

Then after that I made a mad dash to the hospital for Anna's physical therapy session. I don't have any pics of that, because she actually does better when I'm not back there with her (doesn't cry as much..). Which I'm totally fine leaving her with the therapist. He does a good job. He has been working on standing and getting her to bare weight through the legs and sitting up to a seated position. She is coming along with that. Praying she will be standing and setting herself upon her OWN! But hey, she army crawls up a storm and is happy as a lark!

Then we went home and had a little lunch. She discovered the world of pineapple today and she is a fan.As you can see..

Okay I know you are thinking "what in the heck are you making?", well it's a detox tea. It aides in weight loss.. I know I've got a lot of junk and toxins so I'm flushing them out (of course you have to eat well too..) The new health foods store in town is great! Really it's not a bad cold tea. I'm not a big hot tea person. Coffee all the way for me!! Here's the recipe if you're interested...

  • 3 oz. fresh ginger peeled and chopped
  • Dandelion root tea
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Artichoke extract. (could find it so the lady there suggested I use something called "liver tone"..sounds delightful huh..)
  • 5 cups water
  • Lemon or Lime juice, 2 tblsp.
Put water in a large stock pot and add ginger. Bring to a gentle boil. When it comes to a boil, turn off the heat and add 6 bags of tea and 2 cinnamon sticks. Cover and steep for 15 min. Then put in 30 drops of extract and add the lemon juice. Chill in the refrigerator.

(I got the recipe from the book "Skinny Chicks Don't Eat Salads". Good book.)

Then before her afternoon nap we had a tea party. Obviously it was a great party.
So happy..geeze I love that kid!
