And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Story Time

This morning Livy wanted to read Anna a story. She got my Beth Moore quiet time book and read it to her. It was pretty hysterical and sweet at the same time. The girls will sometimes get in bed with us in the morning. Think it may be time for an upgrade from queen to king. Hmmm... although that's probably NOT happening anytime soon...

Out With The Old

This is old faithful. John has had this truck since he graduated from high school (13 years). WOW! For a 13 year old truck I think it still looks great! He did take good care of it. We were talking about all the good memories we have had with that truck. Good times! We have it in the paper and plan to park it at our friend's salon or our friend's pharmacy here in Gassville. Hopefully it will sell soon.

In with the new!
Our friends that we purchased our truck from brought it over Sat. John was so excited. It was time for a different truck. We took a ride in it this afternoon with the girls. We are so pleased. It's nice to have a truck we all can ride in. God provided once again!

Introducing Eden Joy!

This is my new niece. I love her! She weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. Not really sure about how long she is, but oh well, she's cute!! She has been in the NICU at St. John's for the past couple days. During the birthing process Eden pooped and aspirated it into her lungs. They removed it and began antibiotics. She will be in NICU until her round of antibiotics are finished and they get labs back. Probably later this week she will get to come home. Lift her up in prayer.

It's Spring!

God makes all things new again. YAY! I'm glad warmer weather is on the horizon. I'm NOT a winter girl! Enough with all the heavy clothes and coats! John has started to plant the garden so we hope to have lots of veggies this summer. I'm hoping to get herbs and flowers in pots next month. I love spring!! However it does bring pain. Like allergies! It has really kicked us in the tail end this year! Zyrtec is lovely and helps. Thinking about doing some spring cleaning as well. I may do that after I know I can bend over without my head feeling like it's going to explode....grrrr.

Our Anna turned 4 months last Friday. Isn't she is precious! (that wasn't a question....she is!) We love her!
Her hair cracks me up! It's always sticking up, but so was Olivia's. In honor of her 4 month old birthday she received an all expenses paid trip to Little Rock for a check up at Children's. The whole appointment was really kinda frustrating. Apparently she has grown out of her seizures, or so they think. If she has great! Praise God! That's awesome! Her phenobarbital levels in her blood are subtherapeutic which means basically the meds are not working anymore. I wish they would have tested this sooner so then we would have known (pulling my hair out!) or done the ECG sooner instead of two weeks from now. They want us to stop her meds which we really are uncomfortable with until we know FOR SURE she is not having seizures. What if she is still having seizures? They don't REALLY know that yet. We haven't saw any seizure activity since she was in the hospital. John and I both believe we have a healthy girl and she is fine. Hope to get this straightened out soon so we can do what's best for Anna. P.S. I HATE drama!!! Oh well, no matter what the circumstance we CAN give God the glory for it and know he has HIS best in mind and is ALWAYS taking care of us. I have told myself I'M NOT losing sleep over this. God has got this.

We test drove a truck last week. All four of us can't fit in our truck. Not that we take it everywhere, but there are occasions when we need to and can't (which has become a pain truthfully..) Our friends had their truck up for sale and we bought it. John's truck was 13 years old. It was time. YAY for a new truck. Well, like new. And YAY for NOOOOOO truck payment!!!!

Teachable Moments

This was part of my devotional this morning.

Whatever a man sows he will also reap...the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit (Galatians 6:7-8).

Parenting is full of teachable moments, reminders that our children need instruction about the way in which they should go (Deuteronomy 6:1-9). When we deal with their struggles and triumphs, we're not just dealing with their actions and choices; we're dealing with their hearts. Sin points to our deeper spiritual need for the Savior. Instead of letting teachable moments pass by, or taking the easy way out by not addressing sin our children's lives or in our own lives, we need to remember there is more at stake than just this moment. We were made for eternity, and our choices can have an eternal impact. As you instruct your children in God's ways and His Word, look for opportunities to point them to Jesus the only One who can change their hearts.

Really good stuff! So true.

A Family Weekend

wasI so love family weekends! We went to my brother and sister-in-law's this weekend. My Aunts, Mom, Grandma, and I through Buffy a baby shower. She got some much needed diapers, wipes, and other stuff. Can't have too many of those!! My Aunts and Grandma surprised me with diapers and wipes too. It was the first time Anna met her great aunts and her great grandma Dorthy. We had a good time, but I forgot to bring my camera. Darn! How could I forget something like that?! Hmmm... I did take a couple with my phone...like this one.

These girls so love each other! Cousins+bath time+running around naked= TONS OF FUN!

On the way to Jason and Buffy's we stopped in Branson at Bass Pro. John wanted to take Livy to buy her first fishing pole. She was excited to pick it out! Really, I think her Daddy was just as excited. When Livy got back in the car (Anna and I were in the car feeding...that's my life..) she was showing me her fishing pole and said "Mommy, me and Daddy went to the carnival and saw the fish tanks!" I laughed lots!

Redeemed

I purchased this shirt today from wildolivetees.com. I have been wanting one of these for a while. There are a couple more I would love to have (later I guess...). I'll be looking for it in a few days.

I MUST Try These!

Thanks Pioneer Woman. She posted this recipe on Facebook and now I have to try it. They are called Coffee Toffee Bars. Sounds just yummy! I LOVE the idea of putting pecans on top too. I so love chocolate and nuts!
