I had bleeding this week. I passed a big clot with some bright red blood and did this for two days. We went to the doctor (not mine we had to see another one) and he checked me and said that my uterus wasn't big enough to hold and 11 week pregnancy. He said that combined with my symptoms that I had this past week and his findings, he said that he was 95% sure that I had a miscarriage. He told us that he wanted to get a vaginal ultrasound to check to see if everything had flushed out so I wouldn't have to have a DNC done. The ultrasound techs had left for the day (it was almost 5 p.m.) so we had to make an appointment to come back tomorrow to see our doctor and have the ultrasound. Least to say it was a very hard night. Don't want to do that again!!
We went back today to have my ultrasound and what we saw was something we didn't expect to see. I got ready and she started my ultrasound and she did some measurements. Then when she started to view another angle there was our baby! I said, "John, there's our baby! There's not supposed to be one there!!" I cried, laughed, and praised God on the table. Finally, the tech was crying too and she told me I needed to hold still so she could finish. I was super excited! The baby looks like a peanut. Give the baby a top hat and a cane and you could call him "Mr. Peanut". We are calling baby our "miracle peanut". God is bigger than 95% and is The Great Physician. This week before all of this I prayed that God would glorify himself through this baby. He did just that. He is great! After all the tests and things God is still greater. He can do anything! We didn't want to tell people until we had done the ultrasound and everything was final.
I have this verse on Livy's wall and I believe it with every ounce of my being. I should put this in baby's room.
Psalm 139:14
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.
John took at pic of the screen at the doc office. Praise God for our little miracle!
