And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Desperate Landscape

Well, desperate may be going a bit over board. This morning, after our tummies were full of my hubby's yummy biscuits and gravy, we took a trip to Lowe's this morning and bought some more box wood shrub, flowers, and ornamental grass for our front bed. John finished it up and is so proud. They also had a sale on bradford pear trees and we bought one for the front yard. All their plants were on sale. I love it when things ring up cheaper at the register!!! When we get our room added to the back of our house I would like to plant a couple more in the back yard (if they're still on sale). After John was done planting I swept the sidewalks off. It looked so nice I decided to take pics! :)

Oh by the way....we DID get a bid for the addition to the house. So much cheaper than a sun room!! Plus it will be part of the house. Our builder is the dad of a friend and co-worker (John works with him at Micro) and attends Sunday school with us. Maybe this will make more sense... it's John's friends Dad. This man is a Christian and seems to be very honest. So we are very pleased with that. After getting other things situated, we hope that this project will get underway in a couple weeks.

Our garden is growing like CRAZY!! John put the seeds in the ground last Thursday and we have blooms on some things already. Everything is up! YAHOO! John is very proud of the garden. Part of the reason our garden is doing so well is that there is turkey poop mixed in with the dirt. Poop does make this grow! A heck of a fertilizer!!!

It was also a house cleaning day. Livy was down for her nap so I thought I would take advantage and do some mopping. I will NEVER use a swiffer again!! It doesn't clean worth a hoot! It spot cleans, but doesn't get the floors clean. I love vinegar!! The first time I mopped with vinegar and water I wasn't even half way through with the floor and my water was black (nasty!). This time (maybe two weeks later) I mopped the entire kitchen floor and my water was still clear. Holy cow! My floors are clean! You could eat off of them, but I wouldn't...that's kinda gross.. Since my water was still clean I mopped the bathroom floors. Then I dusted.
We are feeling "green" today. I mopped with vinegar and John planted a tree. We're tired!
