Well it's almost 8 a.m. John has left for work. Livy is still asleep.
Ahhh, and my cup of coffee w/ cinnamon bun coffee creamer. Life is pretty great! What a great day the Lord has made for us today. Just thought I would share what's on my heart this morning.
Fall. I am so ready for it! I have grown to love this time of year thanks to my Grandma Norma. The county fair is next week and the fair parade is on my birthday. I love a parade! We always set by Dairy Queen, spread out blankets and watch the parade go by with our friends Joe and Kim. If any of you want, please join us!! It would be great to have lots of friends there.
Then of course coming up soon in October is War Eagle. As my friend Kim says, "I'm getting tingles in my stomach just thinking about it!" She is so funny! I love War Eagle! It just screams fall. The smells, the people, the kettle corn, and the really nifty crafts. I'm looking for a few specific things. A shelf for my living room, plant stands, and some more candle rings for my candles. I got Liv some really cute bows last year. I just love the "fall" atmosphere!!!
Have you heard of the band Addison Road?
Well if you haven't, you need to listen. I have love this band!! They are a Christian group and they are so good! If you don't have your sound turned up on your computer speakers, you should. I put their song "Hope Now" on my blog. Great music! Go to itunes.com and download this album.
Just a thought as I close this blog entry for this rainy day in September. God has been a refuge for me and my family when times are good or bad. He is what gets us through each day. He is the reason I have hope and a sure future. I love this verse in Psalm 62: 5-6. This is my life verse.
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend of God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times. O people; pour out your heats to him, for God is our refuge.
