And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

30 Days of Thankfulness

Last night at women's Bible study, a gal had a great idea. She was taking a picture, everyday for a month, of what she was thankful for. I thought that was a super idea, so I'm taking that idea and running with it. There is a lot of negative stuff in today's world. I have to admit sometimes I can be negative too, but life's too short and God has blessed me so. Why be that way? Each day, for the next 30 days, I'm going to take a picture and blog something I'm thankful for. Plus in honor of Thanksgiving it is just a great thing to do.

So here goes 30 days of thankfulness....
Day 1
I'm thankful for my health! Okay, I won't have a picture with this one, but seriously my health is great! John and Livy are good too! Nothing major. (Livy has a little wheeziness still ,but we're fixing that). With all the surgeries and things that my family has been having lately and will have, John and I are very thankful for our health. Tonight in church I taught the kids about thankfulness. It just so happens (this is totally not a coincidence, I don't believe in those!) our verse was out of Psalms. This verse just popped into my mind as I am typing.

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His love endures forever" Psalm 118:1

Why go around being a negative Ned? There is TONS to be thankful for!
