And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Family Reunion

I love long weekends! Especially Labor Day weekend. We have our annual Bearce family reunion (Mom's side). This was our last year at Windermere. We have been going there for 21 years. It has gotten WAY too expensive. It's crazy how much they charge!! Goodbye Windermere! We will miss you! Grandma and my Aunts and Uncles decided we are going to Baptist Hill next year. We get the whole place to ourselves! Every year it seems like we grow. Including the Spencers.

There we are. The fab 14! God has added 2 babies and a new brother-in-law since last year. (Brian brought his girlfriend too..)
Grandma Bearce with my Mom and Aunts and Uncles.

My cousins. We are missing 3.
This year instead of having our family worship time at the lodge, we had it in the old chapel on the hill. The weather was perfect! And thank God because it has NO air conditioning.

This year my brother spoke about what God did his life this year. It is truly a miracle! God does things for HIS glory and our good. He spoke about Lazarus and how he had died and God raised him. Jason said "what I learned from all of this is that God simply told me to take a nap and He did some great things in other people's lives and my own." Jason was simply a tool that God used. Aren't we all God's instruments if we would only allow Him to use us.
(I think he looks very pastor like..HA!)

Okay this is totally random, but I had given my Mom some material to make Anna a valance for her room. It was a cute green, pink, and brown paisley. So she brought it back to Windermere finished and something else to match it....

A DRESS! I wish I would have gotten a better picture of her in the dress. I got a kick out of her making a dress from curtains. I told Mom it was very "Fraulein Maria" of her. But really it is so great and I LOVE IT! It will look cute with brown or pink layered under it for fall.
