And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

What's That Flavor?

At our family reunion our cousins played a game with jelly beans call "bean boozled". It was pretty hilarious! If you have a few min. it's a great laugh.

Ode to Fall

Sept-Dec has got to me my most favorite time of the year! In honor of the coming fall season I re-did my blog. I do love fall! Or maybe I just like re-doing my blog... I also put up my fall decorations the other day. I have my fall scented candles lit. The house smells so lovely and fallish!

The Demolishion Begins

Last year it was building on our sunroom. This year it's our bathroom. We found out that our drain in leaking up under our tub soaking our carpet in the bedroom. Lovely... So John began taking out the tile and glass block. Good thing we found this right now because John found a nice mushroom farm growing between the old window and the glass block. Truly a blessing in disguise! We are putting in a 5ft shower unit with those of those big round rain type shower heads (excited!). Also having some extra lighting put in since the window will be gone. We are having the builder that built our sunroom do this job for us. John and his Dad are doing most of the tearing up work then he and the plumbers will do the rest. Hopefully this will take about 2 weeks or so. Hey I get to redecorate and paint the bathroom finally! WOO HOO!

Bye bye old shower!!!
(which upsets us because it's ONLY 4 YEARS OLD! What the heck!)
Definitely pics of the finished product coming soon!

I Have Feet?

This is huge! Not very long ago Anna realized she had feet. Not kidding. Only took her a few months. Now she can't stop playing with them. Before her therapy we couldn't get her feet past her waist. She was not loose like most babies are (which was weird..) Thanks to our wonderful chiropractor and physical therapist they have helped her out TONS! She can set up and get her knees up underneath herself. Crawling isn't far behind. Although, truthfully, this Momma is good with her being in one place right now.

Family Reunion

I love long weekends! Especially Labor Day weekend. We have our annual Bearce family reunion (Mom's side). This was our last year at Windermere. We have been going there for 21 years. It has gotten WAY too expensive. It's crazy how much they charge!! Goodbye Windermere! We will miss you! Grandma and my Aunts and Uncles decided we are going to Baptist Hill next year. We get the whole place to ourselves! Every year it seems like we grow. Including the Spencers.

There we are. The fab 14! God has added 2 babies and a new brother-in-law since last year. (Brian brought his girlfriend too..)
Grandma Bearce with my Mom and Aunts and Uncles.

My cousins. We are missing 3.
This year instead of having our family worship time at the lodge, we had it in the old chapel on the hill. The weather was perfect! And thank God because it has NO air conditioning.

This year my brother spoke about what God did his life this year. It is truly a miracle! God does things for HIS glory and our good. He spoke about Lazarus and how he had died and God raised him. Jason said "what I learned from all of this is that God simply told me to take a nap and He did some great things in other people's lives and my own." Jason was simply a tool that God used. Aren't we all God's instruments if we would only allow Him to use us.
(I think he looks very pastor like..HA!)

Okay this is totally random, but I had given my Mom some material to make Anna a valance for her room. It was a cute green, pink, and brown paisley. So she brought it back to Windermere finished and something else to match it....

A DRESS! I wish I would have gotten a better picture of her in the dress. I got a kick out of her making a dress from curtains. I told Mom it was very "Fraulein Maria" of her. But really it is so great and I LOVE IT! It will look cute with brown or pink layered under it for fall.
