And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

A Blog Hiatus

Trying to play some catch up here. I've been taking pictures, but haven't blogged them. Huh, go figure.

We've been out in the back yard a lot lately. Doing yard work, gardening, laying out, or playing in this...

We laughed because it looks a bit slumped on one end. Ya see, when we set up the pool you have to put it on level ground. That was the most level place in the yard. Almost... We have a lot of fun in it!! The water comes up to Livy's waist and John and I can sit in it up to our shoulders (well I can anyway..) One thing I don't get is that as soon as we put it up, everyday after that has been cloudy and windy. Why?!? Weird! Where is the sun and blue sky? I'm done with the clouds!

Back to the gardening. We are so pleased with our garden this year. We don't have the most green thumbs in the world, but everything is growing great! We did things a bit different from last year.Notice the fence of lovely chicken wire around it? We did NOT have a good garden last year because of the dang rabbits! So John fixed that problem. We did have an over abundance of tomatoes. John planted 16 tomato plants last year! He didn't plant as many this year. Thank goodness...
He planted less than that this year about 1/2. Already got some green ones coming on. The green beans are beautiful and plentiful!
Picked twice already! Sorry to go on and on about a garden, but I'm pretty darn exciting about it!

You'll notice I have more blog entries below. Yeah, I needed to catch up.
