And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Jason's Story

The Pathway (a newspaper of the Mo. Baptist Convention) interviewed my brother Jason and sister-in-law Buffy to get their amazing testimony to God's miraculous power. We do serve a God that heals and still does miracles. His work in their lives is amazing.

Shots Are NO FUN Momma

Anna got 3 shots when we went for her check up yesterday. A low-grade fever and being achy is not fun! Momma has been dishing out an extra dose of loving, holding, rocking, kisses, and hugs today. No complaints here.

Something New

Some little lady is sitting in a high chair. She ate lunch and supper in it tonight. Why is it when I take pics of Anna she has a deer and headlights look? Oh well I love her!! She makes me smile!

All About Angela

My sister Angela is getting married July 31st! YAY! So last weekend myself and her other bridesmaids (with help from my wonderful Mom and Buffy..) gave my sister a "personal shower" (is that what they still call it?) last weekend in Branson. We got to have it at the condo where her and her fiance work (which are super nice!). My Mom, cousin Robyn, my sis, and I stay there Friday night. We started out the evening with some Olive Garden and a little trip out to College of the Ozarks for some wedding planning (that is where she is getting married. She went to college there..)

This is the chapel at C of O. Okay, so my sis wanted satin bows all down this isle. 52 bows would have to be made. Yes, I said MADE! Made by Angela and Mom. We convinced her that every other pew would be very pretty so now only 26 will be made. But still, holy cow! I took this pic mid isle. Yes, it's one crazy L O N G isle!

Momma measures
Ahhh, the joy of planning..Then we went to the Keeter Center where they are having the reception. I am so pumped for them. The Keeter Center is rustic and GORGEOUS!
Reception Hall
Silver Dollar City Parlor

The hall was set up for something else, but Ang is giving us the run down of how she is going to decorate.

Then Saturday...... Party time! We had to kick Angela out for a few hours so we could get some things ready. Mom and I fixed food. Thanks to Angela's other bridesmaids Shawna and Brianne the food and games all came together. Uh yeah, we played some...um, shall we say, "bachelorette party type games" (Let's just say those pics aren't getting posted..)

Hard work paid off. The food was good and everything was lovely. And for the record that is punch in that punch bowl...
Angela didn't want cake. She requested fruit pizza. It was super!!!! Thanks Paula Deen! Of course did it my way. Thanks B and S for putting it together! Can't take all the credit there...

All I will say is that Angela recieved some hot lingerie for those steamy nights in San Antonio. Notice I'm not posting any pics of them. Sorry Olin...

Hey I got to hold my niece Eden! I love her!Me, Angela, and Robyn. (I seriously needed a necklace up against those two..)

Us and our Momma
I love my sister! Congratulations Angela. Marriage (and all the benefits there of) is a blessing from God so enjoy enjoy!
On that note I think I will end this ridiculously long post.

The Chick's Kitchen

My hubby has said for a while now that I should do a food blog. So I did. I love reading the Pioneer Woman and other recipe sites. I don't think I will be blogging to the extent that the Pioneer woman does. She is amazing and very detailed! Love that gal! She is hoot! My blog is simply recipes I love and that I have made for years. I also love to take the foods I love and make them better for me and my family. I also love food that reminds me of my childhood. I love the smells from my Mom and Grandma's kitchen as a child. How I love memories....

Check it out. The Chick's Kitchen

A Blog Hiatus

Trying to play some catch up here. I've been taking pictures, but haven't blogged them. Huh, go figure.

We've been out in the back yard a lot lately. Doing yard work, gardening, laying out, or playing in this...

We laughed because it looks a bit slumped on one end. Ya see, when we set up the pool you have to put it on level ground. That was the most level place in the yard. Almost... We have a lot of fun in it!! The water comes up to Livy's waist and John and I can sit in it up to our shoulders (well I can anyway..) One thing I don't get is that as soon as we put it up, everyday after that has been cloudy and windy. Why?!? Weird! Where is the sun and blue sky? I'm done with the clouds!

Back to the gardening. We are so pleased with our garden this year. We don't have the most green thumbs in the world, but everything is growing great! We did things a bit different from last year.Notice the fence of lovely chicken wire around it? We did NOT have a good garden last year because of the dang rabbits! So John fixed that problem. We did have an over abundance of tomatoes. John planted 16 tomato plants last year! He didn't plant as many this year. Thank goodness...
He planted less than that this year about 1/2. Already got some green ones coming on. The green beans are beautiful and plentiful!
Picked twice already! Sorry to go on and on about a garden, but I'm pretty darn exciting about it!

You'll notice I have more blog entries below. Yeah, I needed to catch up.

Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Boo Boo!

I was trying to get Anna to show me her teeth. All I got was her sticking her tongue out at me.

Can ya seem them?? They do look bigger than they are. And they are sharp! She does love to chew on everything. I should get a pic when she is laughing.

We also started her on solids a couple of weeks ago. She loves her groceries! Why haven't I taken any pics of that?

Last Sunday Morning...

Ready for church! I love that dress on Livy! Anna has on a little strawberry number. However, you can't really tell because she has a bib on over the smocking. Question. Why is it that on Sunday mornings Anna throws up on herself repeatedly when the rest of the week she hardly does that? Hmmm.. By the way, that was the THIRD outfit that morning.

That's Prickly!

Anna likes to feel her Daddy's beard. Precious.
