And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Thankfulness

I read this in my devo today. Being thankful even when situations are hard. I love it how God knows just what I need.

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are his.
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation.
Psalm 100 (NLT)

Hand-Me-Downs

LOVE THEM! Especially when both girls wear them. I love comparing pictures.

Olivia- May 2007

Anna- May 2010

Because of the "thickened formula" my Anna is a little chunk compared to my Liv. I think she is so precious! I thank God everyday that I have Anna. Just noticed..the only thing I see different in these pics is the living room. It looks tons better! Just say'n...

Wet N Wild

We went to SDC the other day. It was hot. Livy had a super time getting wet.
She said that was her favorite part!

Conversations

Livy: Mommy I just want to get married.

Me: Who are you marrying?

Livy: David.

Me: Who's David?

Livy: David. That boy right there, the prince.

Me: Oh...well okay, but lets put it off at least 20 years or so.

Livy: Okay. But I want to be married in 3 days.

Oh my...that will be here before you know it. Don't really want to think about that right now. I'll just go along with the funny conversations. She has really gotten into watching our wedding DVD from almost 8 years ago. She has to dress up in her "wedding dress". Plus the slip on her head is the icing on the cake. She is a hoot!

Mom, the girls, and I went to visit Buffy and her girls. I finally got to meet little Eden. She is just precious! Good visit.Liv and Bethany had so much fun. They laughed and screamed all afternoon. That afternoon we tried to get them to lay down, watch some Dora, and rest. Yeah right...

Cousins. Finally Together!! Anna 6 months. Eden almost 2 months. They will be an ornery pair for sure!

Momma Remembers

This seemed very appropriate because Mother's Day is Sunday. One year ago today I had the scare that any mother would dread; the loss of a child. A certain doctor told me that at 11 weeks I had miscarried Anna. However, the next day I went in for an ultrasound and there she was alive and kick'n. The nurse said most women that have the experience I had with the enormous amount of blood loss, the baby is gone. But thanks to my wonderful, great, and faithful God we still have our Anna today. She is a sweetie! I would have never dreamed the journey that we were going to take with her a year later. God is STILL continues to be good.

Welcome Home!

We are very glad Anna is home and feeling good! I believe she wins the "cutest kid to ever leave a hospital award."Of course I'm bias.

Livy is so very happy!

Okay, lets stay healthy and hospital free. ALL OF MY FAMILY!! (of course I realize we have NO control over that sometimes...)

Jesus Bring The Rain

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through

The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You

Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind

To turn my back on you oh Lord
My only shelter from the storms
But instead I draw closer through these times

So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus Bring the Rain

I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain

You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain

So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus Bring the Rain

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus Bring the Rain

Artist: Mercy Me

This has been on my heart to say for a while. The song said most of it for me. In my family we have had our share of trials this month. I have a joke that April has been declared "hospital month". People have pain. As long as we are living that is going to be a given. Life is never easy. And this month has been a difficult one... That's no secret, but I know that Christ does sustain me through the hard times. I have said this since Anna was conceived. God's got this! I have found out over the past 5 months that still rings very true.
