And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

A Great Mini Vaca!!

We spent this weekend at Mockingbird Bay Resort at the lake with our friends Joe and Kim. We had a great time and the weather was absolutely awesome!! What a super place to stay! It was still slow at the resort so we had the place virtually to ourselves. We also got out on the pontune boat for a while on Saturday. We are so glad to be home. I'm ready for bed..

Good Night!

Livy sings her favorite song, "twinkle, twinkle, little star" during our family prayer time. She was a hoot! John recorded this last week. The video isn't great, but the sound is great. He did this with his windows phone. Enjoy!

Memorial Weekend

We made a trip to John's folks for the holiday weekend. Had a good visit. We celebrated a couple birthdays; my niece Savanah and Gramps. We also took a trip out to Elephant Rocks for a picnic and a little hike, but darn it, rained spoiled the hiking part..but it was still fun. I got a chance to go to my Grandpa Bearce's grave in Ironton to put a decoration on it. It was good seeing Ironton again. Always brings back some great childhood memories.

Livy and Alton had fun!

Cinnamon Rolls Anyone?

I made a TON of cinnamon rolls today. It is quiet the process!! The recipe I have takes 11 cups of flour. After they had some rising time (until doubled) I rolled out all the dough. It took me 45 min. It made 42 cinnamon rolls. Uh yeah... it made a bunch. I'm taking some to women's Bible study tonight and John's parents this weekend. I may have John take some to work or I could freeze them. The people at John's work love when he brings baked goodies from home. Now they have to rise another 7-8 hours. They are supposed to be overnight cinnamon rolls, but since I'm taking them somewhere tonight, I had to start this morning. Later this afternoon I'll bake them and finish them with some cream cheese icing. YUMMY! Hope they turn out good.

Spinkler Time!

Today was beautful! Warm and sunny! I decided to let Livy play in the sprinkler for a while. She called it a "water box"....hmmm, where she got that I don't know.?.? She had a great time!

Man, I'm white!! This chick needs a tan!!

Desperate Landscape

Well, desperate may be going a bit over board. This morning, after our tummies were full of my hubby's yummy biscuits and gravy, we took a trip to Lowe's this morning and bought some more box wood shrub, flowers, and ornamental grass for our front bed. John finished it up and is so proud. They also had a sale on bradford pear trees and we bought one for the front yard. All their plants were on sale. I love it when things ring up cheaper at the register!!! When we get our room added to the back of our house I would like to plant a couple more in the back yard (if they're still on sale). After John was done planting I swept the sidewalks off. It looked so nice I decided to take pics! :)

Oh by the way....we DID get a bid for the addition to the house. So much cheaper than a sun room!! Plus it will be part of the house. Our builder is the dad of a friend and co-worker (John works with him at Micro) and attends Sunday school with us. Maybe this will make more sense... it's John's friends Dad. This man is a Christian and seems to be very honest. So we are very pleased with that. After getting other things situated, we hope that this project will get underway in a couple weeks.

Our garden is growing like CRAZY!! John put the seeds in the ground last Thursday and we have blooms on some things already. Everything is up! YAHOO! John is very proud of the garden. Part of the reason our garden is doing so well is that there is turkey poop mixed in with the dirt. Poop does make this grow! A heck of a fertilizer!!!

It was also a house cleaning day. Livy was down for her nap so I thought I would take advantage and do some mopping. I will NEVER use a swiffer again!! It doesn't clean worth a hoot! It spot cleans, but doesn't get the floors clean. I love vinegar!! The first time I mopped with vinegar and water I wasn't even half way through with the floor and my water was black (nasty!). This time (maybe two weeks later) I mopped the entire kitchen floor and my water was still clear. Holy cow! My floors are clean! You could eat off of them, but I wouldn't...that's kinda gross.. Since my water was still clean I mopped the bathroom floors. Then I dusted.
We are feeling "green" today. I mopped with vinegar and John planted a tree. We're tired!

I will sleep well too!

Comparing Pig Tails

Is that one word or two? Oh well. I had to compare now to two years ago. How I thought of comparing is we were looking a pics of the St. Louis zoo. When we went when Livy was 7 months old, so we thought it would be fun to go again this summer for vacation. Livy is pumped! She can't wait! She loves animals.
Then-July 07
On top of her head. Kinda like little antennas I love it! This is one of my favorite pics of her.

Now-May 09

Look how much her hair as lightened up. So pretty!

They don't stick up anymore

What a difference 2 years makes! What a big girl! How I love my sweet Olivia Grace.

I Love Peace

Livy is napping. Ahhhh. So while she is down and out I thought I would catch up on my blogging.

I'm having a real craving for my mom's strawberry refrigerator cake. Think I'll make that one at the end of the week.I have been thinking about that cake all day. My friend Adrienne was talking about strawberry shortcake on her blog. Thanks "A" that made the craving worse! Plus Liv has been saying "Momma I wanna make cake!" We don't make cake much around here because I will EAT IT! Not good to have around... This cake doesn't have icing on it, it has cool-whip so that's better than all the butter and powdered sugar. Hey, anything to justify me eating cake.

Looking forward to tomorrow. My cousin Katy is coming from Jonesboro to pay me a visit while she passes through on her way to Harrison. She meeting her boyfriend and his family there then they are headed up to Branson. Should have a good time. She is going to stay until Friday. She can help me with some stuff. Hee Hee!

The doc has put me on pelvic rest for a week cause of all the bleeding drama of last week. My last day is Thursday. Not supposed to lift anything heavy or do stuff with my pelvis. I can still do lots of stuff but the main thing was the heavy lifting. John wouldn't let me lift anything heavy anyway. Bless his heart.

Livy's friend Audrey is coming to play Friday. It's a good distraction for Livy so I can get a few things done while they play. Emily was so good to keep Livy two days last week. Plus Livy said, "Mom I wanna play with Audrey!" It's precious. So play day for them.

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a super weekend in Branson with my family. However, we are super tired, but a great weekend! The condo was nice and we all used the pool and hot tub a lot. We ate lots and laughed lots. The air show was absolutely stunning! So amazing! I wish we could have saw my brother Jason more. His business "The Digital Lunch Box" did a lot video work for the air show, so he and his partners were busy. We did get to see him some. I know this was super for their business! We also got to meet my sister Angela's boyfriend Olin. Very nice guy! He clicked with our family so well. We are praying God's direction in their relationship.

A few pics of the weekend.

We had a great Mother's Day. We went to church with my sister and Olin at First Baptist Branson. Then we went for steak at Montana Mikes afterward. Love you Mom! I have the greatest Mom in the world and I love being a Mom as well. What I am most thankful for this mother's day is my sweet daughter Olivia. I'm also so blessed that we STILL have another child on the way. We love our miracle peanut. Our God is amazing! What a great Mother's Day!

I Hate Roller Coaster Rides!

The emotional ones!! The past 24 hours have been a crazy ride. Here what God has done in 24 hours...

I had bleeding this week. I passed a big clot with some bright red blood and did this for two days. We went to the doctor (not mine we had to see another one) and he checked me and said that my uterus wasn't big enough to hold and 11 week pregnancy. He said that combined with my symptoms that I had this past week and his findings, he said that he was 95% sure that I had a miscarriage. He told us that he wanted to get a vaginal ultrasound to check to see if everything had flushed out so I wouldn't have to have a DNC done. The ultrasound techs had left for the day (it was almost 5 p.m.) so we had to make an appointment to come back tomorrow to see our doctor and have the ultrasound. Least to say it was a very hard night. Don't want to do that again!!

We went back today to have my ultrasound and what we saw was something we didn't expect to see. I got ready and she started my ultrasound and she did some measurements. Then when she started to view another angle there was our baby! I said, "John, there's our baby! There's not supposed to be one there!!" I cried, laughed, and praised God on the table. Finally, the tech was crying too and she told me I needed to hold still so she could finish. I was super excited! The baby looks like a peanut. Give the baby a top hat and a cane and you could call him "Mr. Peanut". We are calling baby our "miracle peanut". God is bigger than 95% and is The Great Physician. This week before all of this I prayed that God would glorify himself through this baby. He did just that. He is great! After all the tests and things God is still greater. He can do anything! We didn't want to tell people until we had done the ultrasound and everything was final.

I have this verse on Livy's wall and I believe it with every ounce of my being. I should put this in baby's room.

Psalm 139:14

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.

John took at pic of the screen at the doc office. Praise God for our little miracle!

Sleeping Beauties

Aren't they cute?!?! Livy went to play with her friend Audrey for a little while today. They got to lay down together for a while. Do you think they took a nap together? Yea, right... Emily had to end up separating them and then after a while the girls fell asleep. Emily said the girls where so funny. She could hear them giggling and laughing in bed. It was like a sleepover. I can picture it! How precious! She wishes she could have had a video camera in there. I would have loved to have seen that.

Success!

About time! I know it seems we have no life because I type about our garden so much. More than likely my family and friends are super tired of me talking about our garden. Oh well get over it! It's my blog! I'm just thrilled! John put more dirt in the boxes and then planted tomato and squash plants in the garden. We still have some seeds to plant (green beans, lettuce, cucumbers) but thank goodness the biggest part of the job is done. The rain wouldn't go away!

John and Livy have worked hard!

In less boring news....everything in babyville is great! Not getting as nauseous and tired anymore, which is wonderful! I want to do my housework again, which is a plus. I cleaned out the closet in the baby's room to get rid of some stuff. I can't wrap my mind around the fact we will have another child in 6 1/2 months. Crazy! This pregnancy is going by fast (well, ask me in like 5 months..). It seems like I just gave birth to Olivia, but I'm reminded that's not the case when I look at her and see that she is 2. Time does fly! I have been wondering a lot lately if I'm going to have a boy or girl. Anyone want to wager what the sex is? Of course John wants a son. I have got tons of baby room ideas for a boy. If it's a girl she is getting a lady bug room cause this momma doesn't want to spend $$ on more girl bedding! I'll make different some how. Anyone got any idea on a wall color if I have to do a ladybug room again?

TGIF!

I love Fridays! We are making hot wings tonight! YEA! We haven't made them in forever. I LOVE LOVE hotwings. No "hot" for Livy of course....

We are excited about next Friday. We get to spend the weekend in Branson with my family. Friday we are taking Livy to SDC to play, then later we will meet my family at the condo my sis booked for us. It pays to have a sister that works at a resort. She booked it for next to nothing! Then on Saturday, all of us are going to the air show at the new airport in Branson. My brother Jason does a lot of work in Branson and heard is was going to be a pretty cool air show. The best part is that Jason is a member of the Branson Chamber so we get a discount on tickets. A condo for nearly nothing and cheap tickets..love it! I'm all about deals! We are ready for a weekend away! My family has been talking about this since Livy's birthday party back in January. We are ready to go today, but I guess we have to wait a week... Praying for super weather.

Speaking of super weather..still need to get the veggie plants in the ground. The combination of busyness and rainyness isn't helping our garden planting. We WILL do that this weekend!!!!! :) Hopefully it won't rain.

By the way, Happy May! Can't believe it's May 1st already!! What the heck!?!? This year is almost half over!!
