And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

We All Scream For Ice Cream!

Woo Hoo! I love ice cream! It's one of my favorite things! However the last time I was pregnant ice cream didn't like me. Mostly because I ate lots of the full fat stuff. Guess that explained my insane weight gain. My goal is just 30 lbs this time (not 60!) So, I'm trying some new sugar-free flavors. I love this one!
I ate a lot of sugar-free ice cream when I was hard core weight watchers. If you get the right flavors it's pretty tasty! Livy likes it too...see...
She told me, "that's tasy" (supposed to be tasty, but ya know in 2 year old language).

Expecting Blessings

Blessings are pouring like rain at the Moeckel house! This weekend we went to John's family's house this weekend. We had a family get together Saturday with everyone and had a great time. Glad we got to see Granny and Gramps too. Granny hasn't been doing well lately. Her nurse came and brought baby bunnies and ducks for the kids too see. It was too cute!

Livy loved the bunnies! Put us in a Spring mood. Another awesome blessing is that John's sis was baptized this weekend. We got to go to church with them Sunday and got to be there for that. Afterward we went out to their new house that is being built, then on to lunch together at the Pasta House. God has been blessing us in so many ways this week.
Probably the best "expected blessing" is that.... I am "expecting" again! We have been trying since October. For a few weeks I had felt really draggy, bloated, and totally pregnant. However, my tests were all coming up negative (4 in one week. 3 came up negative and 1 didn't show squat!). A woman KNOWS, especially when she has been prego before! My doctor told me to give it another week before I came in to do blood work. So I did and well, I got my positive. We are so excited! The best part of it and BIGGEST blessing is that my friend Meredith is pregnant too! Hey Mere, I'm glad that you posted your news on your blog so that now I can share mine. This is a such cool story..I had been praying that for them to be pregnant (our friends had been trying for almost 3 years!) and been praying for a baby of my own. I asked God if we could be pregnant at the same time. Then, God did something better than I expected. I thought we would be probably 2, maybe 3 months apart. NO...Our cycles were THE SAME, we probably concieved days apart, and our due dates basically THE SAME! HOLY COW, GOD IS GOOD! Talk about ask and you shall recieve!
For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

Animal Crazy!

We took care of our friends animals this week while they were on a cruise. Livy loved it! She especially loved Cassie their cat.

She didn't like going up with me to feed the dogs, but she would always go up to the fence to say hi. B.J. and Rosco are kinda big. She told Rosco to "be careful and be good". Funny kid.

It was nice

Very nice to get away and see Nana and Papa for a couple days. Livy cried and cried when Mom put her in the carseat so we could leave. Poor kid!

Mom and I went to the $ store the other day and I found some Dora sunglasses and flip flops so this momma caved and got them for her (she wasn't with us I just thought they were cute!). She LOVES them. She put them on again today as soon as she got up. I think she looks like Elton John with her glasses on. Don't ya think? LOL!
John had to stay home because he had to work. Although, he went out to eat and saw a movie with Joe, whose wife and kids are out of town too. The guys were bach'n it.

A visit from Angela

My sis came last night. We fixed tacos, watched "The Office", and ate Blue Bell ice cream. Fun night!
Today we went to some flee markets and looked around. Of course, we found some beautiful stuff that we couldn't afford. One of the things that I wanted, but couldn't afford was a Vera Bradley bag. I know it don't really need it. It's more of a "want". These are some of the new prints. Love these three!!

Spring cleaning

I'm getting the itch to do some spring cleaning. We have had an old rod iron bed frame out in our garage. It was my parents bed when I was little. They had it out in their shed for a few years so it's kinda rusty. It needs a little work.

We have a friend that does paint work so hopefully we can get it worked on in a couple months. We'll probably have it all painted in white. It will be cute when it's done. This will eventually be Olivia's bed. We have a full-sized bed in the office/spare bedroom. That will go in Livy's room when it's done. I also want to somehow make a quit for the bed or have someone help me make one. (Carol, wanna help me with that? It could be fun.) I also need to work on that kids closet! I have to go through all her clothes and give some to Bethany. Lots of stuff to do.

Also I'm dying to get the carpets cleaned and move around the furniture. Spring cleaning is work. When Livy watches Cinderella I sometimes wish the talking mice from that movie would come do my spring cleaning for me...ugh.. I enjoy getting things in order. Honestly, it's therapeutic for me..Yes, I know that's weird.

Spring, where are you?

I'm ready for warmer weather permanently! This flip-flop'n stuff is for the birds. I'm really looking foward to this spring and summer. We broken down and bought Silver Dollar City season passes again. We weren't going to do that, but we wanted to go and Livy again this year. It will be good fun throughout the year. Let's just hope gas doesn't jump back up to $4 a gallon. We plan on going next month sometime. Yea! This is a pic of Livy on the balloons. Oh my, she has changed!!! She'll be even more fun this year! (sorry you have to look at my chestiness!)
Look how cute her hair is!

Revival

We are having in revival all this week at church. It started yesterday and goes through Thursday night. John took this pic with his phone during the service last night. This the group First Day. They are an accapella group and really good. God spoke through them. Very talented too! Our speaker Dr. Calvin is really good. He has been challenging us and God is speaking.

Consignment Deals

Today my friend Kim and I went up to Springfield and went to some consignment shops. My personal favorite was Children's Orchard. It was a great shop and very nice too! The most expensive thing I bought was $7. I bought dresses, tops, night gowns, outfit sets, sandles, and a little something Livy wanted.

It was humorous...she came up to me and said, "momma, i found me a baby doll!" At $4 momma couldn't say no. She has clung to it all day. You know, it dawned on me today, she not a baby anymore..she's a little girl. Sad. So I guess this is her "first Barbie doll".
These were some of my favorite finds.
4th of July dress.
cute Old Navy sundress $4!
other little shirts and an cute cherry outfit. by the way..the shirts were only $1.. yup.

here's a close up the the cherry outfit. so cute.

I even found some little white sandles.

I bought an Easter dress for her already at Old Navy for less than $10, but I really really loved this one. The other one she can wear the Sunday before Easter. Her sweet Easter dress!!

After we did the consignment shops we stopped by Hobby Lobby (of course). I love that store. If Mtn. Home ever got one I would be "el brokeo". I wanted to get some more ribbon to make a few spring and summer bows. HL had some great deals on ribbon %50 off whole spools. I paid a $1 for most of the rolls. Too great!

I do love great deals!!!

Lots Happening

We had a pretty good weekend. Friday night we stayed at home and played in the back yard while John grilled some chicken. That was tasty! Then Saturday night we went out for some pizza and did a little shoe shopping. Livy loved it! She would pick up a shoe and say "cute momma". She even bawled and squalled (is that how you spell that?) when we would leave a store. Her words were "i shop!". She is so hilarious.
Pizza Hut
Then Sunday afternoon we went out to a farm that John hunts on and went for a walk. We saw turtles on the pond and all the flowers and Bradford pear trees that were in bloom. It was a nice walk.

Today I got my hair colored and cut thanks to my wonderful friend and hairdresser Amy Jines. It's pretty rock'n. Livy went to play with her friend Audrey while I was at the salon. She also got some hand-me-down summer clothes and jeans from her friends Audrey and Abby. I was so excited about it. Livy was more excited about Disney princess shirts and the Dora sundress. Really cute stuff. I LOVE hand-me-downs! I also made some oatmeal raisin cookies but I made them quasi-healthy. I put applesauce in them instead of shortening. Although they still have a stick on butter in them, but oh well. They are pretty good! I'm in the think of laundry too (sigh). Not my favorite house chore! I'm trying to get the laudry pretty well done because tomorrow Kim, Livy, and I are going to Springfield to go to some consignment shops to buy clothes for our girls. Guess I'd better get move'n then..

Greetings Spring!

I have had some serious spring fever the past couple weeks. Today was a just what the doctor ordered. The weather is even better than yesterday. It's 80 degrees today! YAY! All the windows are open and there is a lovely breeze blowing. We met John at Hickey park (that name cracks me up. obviously there is a reason they call it "hickey" park hmmm..) in Flippin during his lunch today to have a picnic and play for a bit.

Last night while I was at women's Bible study, John and Livy went on a little "daddy-daughter date". She has done so well with her potty training lately John decided to take her to Popeye's and treat her to some chicken and biscuits.

As for me..I did take advantage of this nice day and did a bit of spring cleaning this morning. Liv and I got out in the garage and did some organizing, putting things in the attic, and sweeping. It looks so much better. Livy helped with the push broom. Such big girl. Also in honor of this super nice day, my grill master husband plans on firing up the grill and BBQing some chicken for supper. YUMMO!

A Day of Beauty

First our toes. We painted our toes in honor of the beautiful weather. Livy had fun doing it. She loves her hot pink toes!!
Then the beauty of the day. This afternoon was awesome we played in the back yard, of course. I got some really great pics. I dolled em' up. What a pretty day to be outside!
Wearing momma flip-flops
This one is cute..wish I could have gotten rid of the little flash.
Love the expression on her face in this one.

Happy girl
