And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Back to Normal

Well as normal as it can get I guess. Boy am I glad! I loved waking up knowing that we have a warm home and electric. There is so much to be thankful for today.

First of all there are so many people w/o power still. The electric company said it could be a few more weeks for some people. In Bruno it could be until March 1st. I can't imagine. I got this pic off of my friend Adrienne's blog. This picture is of her sister Meredith's street. I hope to post some pics of my own soon.

Amazing isn't it!

Second, I'm thankful for our emergency fund. I'm so thankful that we had $$ set aside. That's what it is there for and it was a TRUE emergency! Even though a "budget" has been challenging and a discipline for me and John, it has been so good for us. As I was checking my email I recieved one of my email devotionals this morning and it was so encouraging. This gal has an amazing story.Check it out. Mary Beth Whalen's blog
Third, last night we went to a Super Bowl party for our Sunday school class. Actually, we had some guests. The Red Cross workers that have a shelter set up in the children's and youth buildings came to watch too. We had good group and watched a good game. Sad the Cardinals lost though. There for about 2 min I thought they would win. The last two minutes the Steelers came back to win it. Darn! Oh well..that's the only time I watch football during the year anyway.
Well I gotta get me and my sweet girls some grub.
