And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

This one's for the Mom's

This morning I was reading my devotional for the day and I read something really encouraging that I wanted to share. It told about a Mom that put her toddler in the high chair and reached his hands out for prayer time. She knew that he didn't understand what praying was yet, but he knew it was time to pray. John and I have done this with Olivia for months now. She is beginning to know that before we eat we hold hands together and we are quiet. Psalm 127 says that "Children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of a mother's womb is a reward." God has rewarded us with our children. Love them and pray for them. We need to cherish the time God has given us with our little ones. Keep teaching them the foundations that will help them the rest of their life. I have found that in the little things God shows me glimpses that He is doing a good work in Livy Grace. Plus, he teaches me more about who He is. He will show you too!
