And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Batter Up!

We had a really fun evening. We started with a big slab of cow!! John grilled steak. Super yummy!! He wanted his steak pic to make the blog. He was very proud, especially of the pretty grill marks. Men and their grills.....sigh. Then...we went to a little league game with our good friends Joe and Kim Long. There son Cooper plays softball. Another boy from church was playing too and his Dad is the coach of the team. Didn't know that. Shane did a good job too. They won by the way!!! Kim said their team hasn't played well all this season. I told her it was because we came to watch Cooper play. Then afterward we all grabbed some ice cream at DQ. Probably didn't need the snickers blizzard but it was sure darn tasty!!

Splish Splash

I got out the pool today. Livy loved it!

Green Thumb

Not sure about the "green thumb" part, but we bought some plants at Lowe's the other day and Livy and I planted them today. Well, Livy helped anyway. This is our attempted to make the outside of the house look springy. I also planted a few herbs which I am really excited about!! I can't wait to try them out. There are also pics of Livy during lunch. They were so cute I couldn't help but throw them in too! Oh, forgive the PB&J pouring from Livy's mouth.

This one's for the Mom's

This morning I was reading my devotional for the day and I read something really encouraging that I wanted to share. It told about a Mom that put her toddler in the high chair and reached his hands out for prayer time. She knew that he didn't understand what praying was yet, but he knew it was time to pray. John and I have done this with Olivia for months now. She is beginning to know that before we eat we hold hands together and we are quiet. Psalm 127 says that "Children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of a mother's womb is a reward." God has rewarded us with our children. Love them and pray for them. We need to cherish the time God has given us with our little ones. Keep teaching them the foundations that will help them the rest of their life. I have found that in the little things God shows me glimpses that He is doing a good work in Livy Grace. Plus, he teaches me more about who He is. He will show you too!

Memorial Weekend

This weekend we went to Missouri (again for the 3rd weekend in a row) to spend our Memorial weekend with John's family in Viburnum. John's sister Elizabeth and her husband Josh are building a house outside of Farmington, so we went to check that out. It's going to be pretty when it's finished. After we saw the house, John and I and Josh and Libby left the kids with Grandpa and Grandma and we went to see the new Indiana Jones movie. It was very good, but not as good as the first three. I recommend it for a movie night. Then we had birthdays to celebrate this weekend too. Gramps (Great Grandpa) and our neice Savanah had birthdays. Sunday we grilled and had cake and ice cream. We had a good weekend. Gotta love those long weekends!!!

Morning at the park

This morning was a great morning to be at the park. The weather was absolutely awesome! We walked to our park here in Gassville. Nice walk too! While we were at the park we met another stay at home Mom named Angela and she had a little 20 month old named Taylee. Olivia loved playing with Taylee and I enjoyed visiting with Angela. That was an added blessing to our day!

DAVID COOK WON!!

YEA!! I KNOW MY FRIEND ADRIENNE IS EXCITED TOO!

We vote for David Cook!

I think David Cook should win American Idol! The other David is a cute kid and all but I don't think I could listen to one of his CD's. It would get boring. Watch, this is an amazing performance and my most favorite! This is from Andrew Lloyd Webber week. You may have to scroll down to the bottom of my blog page and turn off the music to hear.

KRISTIE WON!!

I am so excited Kristie Yamaguchi won "Dancing with the Stars". Love that show! She was my predicted winner!!! She is an Olympic gold medalist why wouldn't she win??? Dancing with tthe Stars and American Idol gets me excited!!

My Bling

I am so excited!! I recieved my steriling silver earrings and necklace from Mary Kay yesterday. It was my star consultant prize! It was like Christmas!!

After nap look...

I thought this was cute. After Livy's nap normally she sets in Daddy's chair, eats her snack, and watches something PBSish (loves Clifford and Super Why). Anyhoo... I had to get some pics of her. She was so out of it.

Graduation #2 - Brian's

Well my little brother graduated from High School today. We had a good time with "the fam" again. My cousin Katy graduated from Valley View in Jonesboro yesterday, but we didn't go. I would have liked to but gas is too stink'n expensive!! "The budget" wouldn't allow. It is probably a good thing because too many car trips are hard on Livy. Take yesterday for example....we were driving to Mom and Dad's when not but 20 min left in our trip Livy pukes everywhere!! All in her car seat and all over her. YUCK! Bless her heart. We think it was a mixer of car sickness and just being too hot. We had the air on but the sun was really coming though the windows, especially on her side of the car. I guess her window shade wasn't enough to keep the heat off. Anyway...we pulled over and wiped her off with wet ones, changed her clothes, and I loved on her. Oh my gosh the smell!!! John said he about puked too from cleaning up the yuck. So anyhoo..we are glad we didn't attempted ANOTHER trip. Other than that little incident it was a really good weekend. But thank goodness the graduations for our family are over!! Graduations get to be too much!

Zzzzzz

I walked in to check on Livy and thought this was too cute!

It took the child over 45 min to settle down and go to sleep. She finally did. She's not waking up anytime soon. She is OUT!

Getting around

We are off today. We are going to Sparta, Mo. (that's outside of Ozark) tonight. As I said before my Sis Angela is graduating from College of the Ozarks on Sunday so we are off to spend the weekend with the the fam. Tonight I have a skincare class that Buffy's (sis-in-law). Then tomorrow we are going to SDC in the morning. We are trying to miss the rain that will be coming in that afternoon so we are going to hit it early.

I'm making a lasgna for my sister consultant that just had a baby on Monday. So I will take that to her in a bit.

Anyhoo...just getting around and doing other "stuff". Hope you all have a groovy Mother's Day. Love you Moms, Grandmas, Sister-in-laws, and friends who are Moms. You're the greatest!! What a great calling God has given us. I love being a Mommy!

I'll blog pics from weekend on Monday. BYE!

My Sis is Graduating!

We are heading up to the Branson/Springfield area Friday. My sister Angela is graduating (finally!!) after being at College of the Ozarks for 5 years! She will receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Ed. Go little sis! She is graduating on a Sunday. Why do schools do that?? Don't know. Plus it's Mother's Day. What's up with that! Oh well.... My little brother Brian graduates next Sunday from High school. My oldest brother Jason and I graduated on a Sunday too (Jason did from H.S. and college. I just did from H.S. my college grad was on a Thurs.). I mean really, quit with the Sunday graduations people! Have schools ever heard of a Friday or Saturday. Guess not.

Friends come for Lunch

Today we had our friends Joe, Kim, Kilee, and Cooper over for lunch. I made 2 pans of lasagna, garlic bread, and a chocolate cake. Kim brought salad and cooked carrots. It all was so good. We ate a lot too!!! We ate both pans of lasagna. Well, John has enough for his lunch and that was all that was left. God has put some great friends in our life. We love friends!!

Bubbles and Flowers

We attempted to go outside and blow bubbles today. Too darn windy! Oh well, what we attempted was fun anyway. Lots of screaming and smiles from Livy. My other two azaleas bushes have finally caught up to the other two. They are looking pretty!! One of them has a maple tree grow up through it. Go figure. I tried to pull it up but i wouldn't come up. It's in there! I'm afraid if I dig it up it will kill my azalea. Maybe not. However it will look good in the back yard! The tree I mean... Also my sweet hubby trimmed the bushes. Way to go Babe!

On an emotional note....I can't believe how much our baby is growing!! She is our little toddler!!!! In her pics she looks like her own little person. She doesn't look like a baby anymore. Someone asked me if she was two. NO..she just turned 1 four months ago. She was 16 months last week. SIGH... I'm struggling with this one. But hey, I'm glad I'm home to see it!! She is so fun!Thank you Lord!
