And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Our "Dam" Adventure (ha ha)

Yesterday John wanted to drive out to Norfork dam because the floodgates had been opened. We have a serious rain down here! We had 6 or 7 inches just a few nights ago. If you add that to the rain we have over the past month or so that equals "ton's O rain". The floodgates have not been opened since the early 90's. People that live along the White River had to be evacuated from their homes. A couple from our church had to leave their home. They just finished building along the river and had to get furniture out. They even had to rip up new carpet!! Pray for all the folks along the river.

Anyhoo..it was a real neat thing to see. I would have loved to had been there when they opened up the floodgates! Lots of gaukers (is that how you spell that?) there. Of course, our family was one of them.
