And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

HUGE Milestone

Last Thursday (on her 18 mo. b-day), Anna did something I didn't expect as I unloaded the dishwasher.

Note the progression. I'm sure this is what's going through her mind..
Hi Momma! Yeah I know I'm pretty hot stuff!

Hmmm..this looks interesting. (frog legs. HA!)

Only if I can try to stand...

I'm up! Go me!

Note: After she spills something on herself and I change her we go back to the kitchen. Continue..
Okay I'm going to get what's in there. I think I can, I think I can!  (Momma: YIKES!)

I'm on!

Reaching in.

Normally I wouldn't let her do this, but heck I was so proud I just wanted to see what she could do. I have a feeling she is going to take right off now. I have a feeling this Momma better watch out!

Oh Deer!

My friend Kim is a big animal lover and more than ANYONE I know. Seriously, they could charge admission to their "petting zoo". HA! This girl will pick up animals off the side of the road. I think she missed her calling in life to be a Vet. Monday evening they pick up this from their Aunts property...

Yup, a baby deer. Kim said that the deer stayed in the same spot on their aunts property for a while but the Momma never came back. Sad.. This isn't the first baby deer they have picked up or found. They have raised one and tamed it to come and go. I do have to admit, Jo Jo (that's his name) is pretty cute. Livy was IN LOVE! And yes, they are keeping him. Of course when he gets big enough to be on his own they will him turn him loose to roam.

He did love his bottle.

Livy covered him up and gave him a pillow.

Vogue!

Strike a pose!

I told her to go find some clothes. This is the outfit she came up with. She did good! She was awfully proud. That kid cracks me up!

Mother's Day

I love my Momma and I'm so proud of her! (sorry brother's don't guess you were invited in the pic..)

John and Livy were chatting the other day about what she wanted to be when she grows up. Livy stopped and thought a moment and said, "a mommy." I pray that one day our girls are as proud of me as I am my own Mom.

Livy helped me make one of our family faves; chocolate chip cookies. After that I made my favorite! They were super yummy! Mixed with "The Sound of Music" I'd say I had a very good day!
Happy Mother's Day!

Saturday

This past Saturday we made our first visit of the year to SDC with my brother and sis-in-law. We had fun but it sprinkled a bit. Anna and Eden had their first ride on the frogs, bugs, and merry-go-round. Of course Livy and Bethany loved being together. Then after we went over to visit my sis and her hubby. They moved into a little rent house in Hollister. They are excited to be out of an apartment. Can't say I blame them..I don't miss those days at all!!!
