And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Questions Questions...
Livy asks soooo many question now! For example.."Momma who is that?", "What are they doing", "What is that?"...I could go on and on. She is starting to ask so many questions! Oh the questions of a 2 1/2 year old..
The next question is "what am I having?" Most people have said it will probably be a boy. That's my hunch too. Well I guess we will know next week. I'm going for my ultrasound on Thursday, July 2nd, at 9 a.m. I'll be between 18 and 19 wks. Livy will go with us to that appointment. She did go with me yesterday (for the first time) to my monthly check up. She got to hear the baby's heartbeat. She thought it was cool. She was trying to tell John what the baby sounded like. It was pretty hilarious! She is such an expressive and vocal child.
Okay names. I've had a lot of people ask me that question lately. If it's a girl we are thinking "Anna Marie" (my Mom's name is Deanna Marie). Now the boy name.. we really had a hard time with this one! I really wanted to name him John Spencer and call him "Spencer". Plus I liked the idea of him being named after his Daddy and other "Johns" in his family, but John did care for calling him Spencer too much (I love it!! That's my maiden name, plus I have heard of boys being called Spencer). John liked the names James and Jacob. We both like Jacob. So we compromised and we will name our boy Jacob Spencer. So anyway.. those are the names.
Any predictions anyone??? I know some of you have told me on FaceBook.
P.S. It's totally okay to comment. I don't get any comment anymore! What's up with that!!

St. Louis Fun
We had a great time on our short but much needed vacation. We stayed in St. Charles with my Uncle Darrell and Aunt Stephanie (thanks! saved us a ton on cash-ola!!). We visited Grants Farm, the zoo, the omnimax at the Science Center, and The Magic House. We also did some other little things in between. We really did a lot for 2 1/2 days. We wanted to see the whole zoo again, but it was too darn HOT! Only got maybe halfway through until we decided to call it quits. We left mid-afternoon to keep from melting away. Despite the heat we had fun.
In the children's park at the zoo there was water fountain things that shot out of the ground for the kids to play in. Livy loved getting wet! Thank goodness, because it was hot!
Also during vacation we celebrated Father's Day. We went to Lewis and Clarks to eat Sunday night. It's down by the Missouri river walk in downtalk St. Charles.
Happy Father's Day to a super Daddy! We love you John!Friday, June 19, 2009
VACATION!!!!
TGIF!! St. Louis, here we come! We have been ready for this for a while now. It will be good to visit family and hit some great places. We plan of visiting the zoo, Grants Farm, and the Magic House (Thanks Stephanie for the tip! Glad you live there to tell us this stuff.). Livy is super excited about the zoo. She went when she was 7 months old and of course had no clue what anything was. We have been showing her pics of that trip (she wants to see them everyday!). This time sure will be different.

I so loved her pigtails that stuck up on her head. Love my Livy Grace!
Then...
Well...got me some pack'n to do.

Just a thought....
I really should update more. Hmmm... I was check'n all the blogs I read and thought, "gee I've not updated in a couple days..need to do that. Maybe I will tomorrow.
Maybe cause it's summer we are outside more and do'n other stuff and do couped up inside. Good reason.
Oh, another thought I just had (Can't believe I'm having thoughts. Can't really think of anything these days.. my brain is fried! Thanks baby peanut. I love you!) today my friend Jennifer from my school days turns 30 today. She was my best friend in elementary and high school. I haven't spoken to her in years. Okay, now why I thought of that, I have NO clue. I can't remember or think period these days! But anyway, Happy 30th Jenn where ever you are. P.S. she was first! Still 29 and hang'n on !

I Love Saturdays!
Hope your morning was a good as ours. Made some tasty french toast out of sourdough bread (Wal-Mart in Flippin didn't have any Texas toast, so I got some fresh bread..turned out really yummy!!). It tasted lovely with some bacon and cantelope. Later, I'm going to make some pasta salad for a Sunday school get together. John is going to work on our bathroom window some more today. It's coming along well. Should have it done soon. Can't wait to use our shower permanently!!Last night we got together with some friends and played games. Had a good time. I made some artichoke dip which was amazing! I could have eaten the whole dish myself (wouldn't be a good idea though..). Brian and Rachel ordered pizza and played some Scattergories. Fun fun!!

Water Babies
Livy and I made a trip to Mom and Dad's this week. We got back this afternoon. Buffy and Bethany came too. We took the girls to Jacks Fork river. They loved it!!

Today, my Aunt Janet had her grand-daughter Mattilynn. She is such a chunky cutie! She came over to play in the sprinkler with the girls.

Probably one of the most fun things to do at Nana and Papa's.....playing the piano.

Pudding and Potty Training
Today we made pudding (Livy helped). Banana pudding it's one of my favorite desserts!!! My Grandma Spencer used to make it for dessert on Sundays. Man it's good! Well this one is made with cream cheese in it. Hello! YUMMO! I'm taking it to women's Bible study. Can't wait to eat it!! I have been wanting some for a while now. Then we made some chocolate for after lunch. Livy really wanted some pudding and licking the bowl wasn't cutting it. I love how her swimming suit is in her crack. I HAD to take a picture!!!
I love my little bowl licker!!
The potty training part is that Livy has been dry for over a week. HURRAY!! The icing on the cake is that she has been telling me that she has to potty!! I told her that if she was dry to a whole week we would see about getting her a new swimming suit. Well last night we went to Wal-Mart and she picked it out. She has been wearing it around the house all day. She loves her princess suit. I know this isn't the best pic. I have to take them while she is on the go. She not wild about picture taking...
