And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Red, White, and Blue Festival

We head out to the festival about 7:00 this evening. We had a great time with our friends the Longs and McCarns. The kids had a great time playing. More friends, Aaron and Emily Sanders, happened on us with Audrey and her friend Madison. They stayed for a little bit to chat. The fireworks where really great this year! Livy did really well. She didn't know what to think at first and looked concerned but after that she was good with everything. We had a super time!

Grandma and Grandpa visit

I took pics of Livy after church in her cutie tutie dress. She looks so patriotic!
John's parents came Friday night and left late this afternoon. John and his Dad made some headway on the privacy fence. Which was so great! We basically just visited and the guys worked. In a bit we are headed to the Red, White, and Blue Festival at ASU for some fireworks with our friends. We will see how Livy does with the loudness.

They have the perfect yard for the kids to play and lot of room to have friends and family over! Your home will be a blessing to our S.S. class for years to come. Thanks guys! We love ya! Had a super time!

House cleaning day

The house is clean and fresh smelling thanks to my friend fabreze! Does anyone else just love this stuff? I could bathe in the stuff (well not really). Livy is at mother's day out today so I got a chance to grocery shop and clean house. I still need to run a few errands still before I go pick up Liv. Guess I'd better get with it. That has been my day in a nutshell!

Yahoo for fabreze!!!!

Memories

Watching hummingbirds out side my kitchen window today made me think of Grandpa Spencer. Grandpa, Grandma, and I would eat out on their back porch and watch the hummingbirds. Grandma alway put out a hummingbird feeder. One time we counted 14 at one time trying to feed around ONE feeder. Still to this day I have never saw as many hummingbirds at one time like I did that day. It was crazy! My Grandpa always loved watching them. Grandma still puts out a feeder and when I go back home to Birch Tree MO. I like to watch them.

Project privacy fence under way!

Well John got off to a good start Sunday afternoon. He dug the 4 corner post holes and got the posts put in. He worked for about an hour and a half on it. He had some honk'n rocks to dig through. He work hard. It will be so great to have a place our kids can play!

Afternoon at the lake, well somewhat

We went out to Robison Point on Norfork Lake today. We played and grilled some hotdogs. We were going to swim today, but when we went to all the swim areas they were underwater. Everything is still flooded from all the rain we had. Most of the camping areas are underwater too. So there really wasn't any good areas to swim. Oh well, we went home and Livy played in her pool. But Livy enjoyed playing on the playground.

A Saturday morning at home

We haven't made breakfast together, at home, on a Saturday in a few weeks. So I thought I would capture the time. Good food.

Music on the Square

Friday night we grabbed a bite of Mexican food and went to Music on the Square in town. A lot of people from the community come. There's ice cream and other stuff you could eat. It's really kinda neat. Anyhoo...we went and met our friends Jason, Meredith, and Abby. Livy and Abby had fun. Well, really Abby chased after Livy and said, "Livy come here, come here!" It was really quite comical.

Mommy taught her well

Livy is always wanting to use my broom to sweep the floor so I got her a broom that she can use now. She loves it and is always sweeping with me. Good girl!

Branson Day!

Today we had some fun! John took a vacation day and we drove to Branson this morning. We did a little shopping at Target and TJ Maxx (we always hit those two stores when we go to Branson). Then ate a bite at Red Lobster!! YUM YUM! Love the cheddar biscuits! That place is one of our favorites. Then we drove out to SDC and played for a while. We rode rides, John got wet, we had some good times.

Happy Father's Day!

It's Monday. One day late. Sorry. We are off to Branson today for shopping and SDC!! YEA!
Have a groovy Monday!

The Honk'n 3 Family Garage Sale!

What a two and a half days we have had! What a BIG sale! We have worked hard the past couple days but it was so worth it! We had a garage sale two summers ago so we didn't have much, but we still made quite a bit of money. The other two families we had the sale with had things from years and years of stuff! After we added up everything from the past two days the sale made over $1000.00. Not bragging, but that is so awesome!!! Who knew?? Just pulling out junk or stuff someone didn't use a person could make so much! Garage sales are a very good thing!

Cleaning Up and Out

John and I have been getting ready for our honk'n 3 family garage sale. We went up in the attic last night and went through all our stuff and pulled things down for the sale. I also have been cleaning out the house too. The stuff...oh my word.....the stuff you can pull out!!!! You never know how much junk you have until you start going through everything! The other two families that are having the sale with us haven't had a garage sale in forever. Our pastor and his wife haven't had a garage sale in 16 years! WOW! Joe and Kim said they haven't had one in years either. We had one two summers ago so we don't have near the stuff they do to sell. Hopefully after the sale all of our houses and garages will be cleaner and more organized. Life is simpler if stuff isn't in the way. Here's to organization! I have my own brand of organization. One of my dreams in life is to be super-duper organized. We'll see..

Stuff to do

This week we have tons going on. Tonight John has his men's bible study, well..they aren't going to study the Bible this week. They are going to help our friends Nate and Adrienne move into their house. Excited for you two! Then Tues. and Wed. we are going to play with friends and go visit a friend that was in the hosptial. Wed night our summer program starts at church that night. We are doing a cowboy theme this year. It should be fun! I'm truly glad that I get to work with the kids instead of "being in charge" AHHHHH...

John and I have decided that Livy is going to the Mother's Day Out program at the Methodist church 1 day a week. She going on Thursdays and will start this week. She will go from 8:30-2:30. We thought it would be good for her to interact with kids on a consistant basis. It will be good for her and me. I hope to get some facials in that day or get some house stuff done.

Friday and Saturday we having the "Honk'n three family garage sale" with our friends the Long's and Shy's. They asked it we could have a garage sale at our house because of the great location. We could always simplify and get rid of junk! I'm getting ready for that this week. Hope to make some extra cash this week. YEA!

A dose of PINK and Macaroni Grill; a new favorite!

Today has been a long day. I went to Springfield today for a Mary Kay event. Pretty fun. Man, those girls are peppy! I want a dose of whatever they are on. I kept yawning though the whole thing. Didn't get much sleep last night, eek. I have said this before, it is awesome to be apart of a company that honors the Lord with opening and closing prayer and incorporates Him in everything in between. What company does that? Don't know but I thought it was so great! Anyway after the meeting we ate at Macaroni Grill. If you have not eaten at one, you should. So great!! Yum, I think I like it better than Olive Garden. Oh, did I just say that.... I'm tired it's time for some shut-eye.

Wii anyone?

We played games at our friends Brian and Rachel's house last night. Had a good time. The guys played Nate and Adrienne's Wii. Missed you guys, but thanks for letting us use it! Are you missing it? I wish I had a pic of Sara rock'n out to Guitar Hero. She was get'n pretty good.

Shake it Livy

John caught Livy dancing to the show Super Why on PBS. It was so funny! Be sure to turn off the music at the bottom so you can hear it. Go Livy!

Ahh....the weekend!

Livy Lou slept though the whole picnic.

Smile Babe!
I love weekends! We had a great one! We actually got a Saturday at home (imagine that). It was nice to be home after being gone for 3 weekends in a row!! So glad that graduation mania is over!! It actually felt like we had a weekend! Anyhoo..John got some "have to jobs" done like mowing grass and stuff. I picked up the house and did some laundry. We went for picnic in the park that afternoon . Livy slept through most of it. She was a tired tot. Then for the rest of the day we vegged out. I made a homemade pizza Sat. night. Nothin' beats homemade pizza. I baked a cake for Sunday too. We had dinner at our good friends Joe and Kim Long's house. Grilled chicken was great Kim. Thanks!
